Vahidi Black Belt 6th Dan- Kyokushin Kai Karate (IFK)

Born in 1948
Tehran, Iran started volleyball at the age of ten. During high school he
had been the country champion twice while playing as team captain. At
the age of eighteen joined the navy and was one the first men to be
hired as a frogman and played volleyball in the navy national team. |

In 1966, started
karate (Kan Zen Ryo) and by 1972 got his black belt. He also practiced
Shotokan Karate for a short period of time. In 1973, with the birth of
Kyokushin karate (IKO 1), he was one of the first joiners to practice
this style. |

In 1980, was
elected as head council of Kyokushin Referees in Iran. Also, he was the
first person to give referee lessons for this style. In 2001, was
introduced as the best European referee. |

In 1986, got an
invitation from Turkey’s Karate Federation to get familiar with (Ashihara)
and became the representative of that style in Iran. with the death of
Sosia Oyama (osu) he joined the International Federation of Karate (IFK)
by an invitation from Turkey's Karate federation and went to England. He
successfully passed a course under the supervision of Hanshi Steve
Arneil (Head of IFK) in only two months. Therefore, Shihan Vahidi was
chosen to be the first representative of IFK in Iran. |

Since the beginning
of 2004, He has started popularizing this style in most cities of Iran
(Tehran, Mashhad, Yazd, Kerman, Sirjan etc.) Also, hundreds of his Cey
tou (students) who are holding black belts are practicing and teaching
Karate in Iran and abroad. |
